The MIA's going to the dogs! Bring your pooch to an outdoor afternoon of dogs and art. Mark your territory on a paw-print collaborative mural with artist Sarah Thornton of Lintu Art. Romp, relax, or howl to live music from the Como Avenue Jug Band. Get to the bottom of dog behavior with Bark Busters. Read Scooby's mind with dog psychic Elaine of Animal Bridges. Track a scent to canines in the MIA collection. Mug with your mutt for the SidewalkDog.com photobooth. Plus, learn the finer points of pet adoption from the Animal Humane Society.
And please, remember to keep your dog on a leash and pick up after your pooch! ScoopyPoo will be on hand with baggies.

Produce a pleasing print, draft a dramatic drawing, or fold original origami. And check out the MIA's special exhibition, "It's New / It's Now: Recent Gifts of Contemporary Prints and Drawings." SPECIAL EVENT Minneapolis Institute of Arts Annual Membership Meeting Thursday, July 18, 20134:30 – 5:30 p.m. Pillsbury Auditorium All members of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts are invited to attend the museum's Annual Meeting. Director and President Kaywin Feldman will present a review of the museum's yearlong accomplishments and plans for the coming year. Members can vote online for candidates for the Board of Trustees between July 1 and July 17. SPECIAL EVENT Thursday, July 18, 20136 – 9 p.m. museum-wide PEDAL to the museum and enjoy valet bike parking. BASK in an evening of outdoor music with Crankshaft and the Gear Grinders. PLAY "Bike Night Biker Bingo." CHECK OUT the latest/greatest from the Twin Cities bike scene. COAST over to the bar to sample some suds.
